Final
The final is comprehensive and will span the material covered from the beginning of the semester up to, and including, Dec 10. It will be closed books, notes, laptops and other electronic devices. However, up to 2 pages of cheat sheets are allowed.
Study Guide
The exam will assume knowledge of all the required reading material listed in the Lectures section as well as solutions to exercises and homework assignments. (Recommended readings are excluded.) It is safe to assume that will not delve into the details of the technical papers in the required readings.
It will contain a mix of true/false, multiple choice, short answer questions, and specification problems in Alloy, Lustre and Dafny. The latter will focus on your general understanding of these languages and formal specification, not on your remembering the exact details of their syntax.
