Final Requirements
Grading will be based on BOTH technical content and quality of writing.
Advice: Consider starting early. Writing well takes time! Running experiments takes time! Did I mention it, START EARLY!
- Formatting:
- 5-6 pages, standard conference format
- Please feel free to use the standard latex stylesheets from ACM
- Organization:
- Introduction:
- describe the problem that you are trying to solve
- provide a high-level overview of the problem space
- provide a high-level overview of your approach
- System Description:
- describe your system: hardware used, software components, etc.
- consider including a diagram to help out with the description of they system
- describe the details of problems that you had to overcome
- your solution to the problem
- how did you solve the problem
- why did you choose a specific design/solution?
- how does your approach differ from standard solutions? if it does, why did you opted for something different. if not, how did you select among multiple options
- Evaluation
- measure at least one specific aspect of your system
- present the experimental setup
- describe the measures used in the experiments.
- plot at least a graph. Make sure that it is labeled appropriately, etc.
- Experience
- what did you like and hate about your project?
- if you had to do it again, what different choices would you make
- Related Work:
- you must have at least one related work specific to your project. Citing NESC or TOS will not cut it!
- Submission:
- email
- if you have videos, burn them on a disk and put them in my mailbox
